Tim qualified as a carpenter and joiner at Bury St Edmunds college in 1970 passing his Advanced City & Guilds. He then completed his apprenticeship with a local building firm Percy Browns in Sudbury.
In 1974 he became self employed and worked for many local building companies gaining valuable experience.
In the early 1980s Tim started working for A & B Glass in Sudbury and along with his partner Roger Lane they became their most experienced fitters of windows, doors and conservatories.
Tim decided he wanted to branch out on his own so in 1994 he started Tim Allen Windows along with his wife Linda who became the company secretary.
Business quickly picked up and when Scott (Tim’s son) left school in 1996 he came into the family firm and was trained up by his Dad. They have worked together for many years now gaining lots of experience. They are extremely skilful, conscientious workers.
We have expanded the workforce and now have four experienced fitters in the team.
